"Best College Dorms"

The Princeton Review has recently published its 2013 edition of “The Best 377 Colleges.” Based on 122,000 student surveys at 377 top colleges, students reported their opinions and campus experiences.  Washington University in St. Louis  was ranked as having the “Best College Dorms.”  Mackey Mitchell Architects has designed 2000+ beds for the university beginning with a residential master plan and design of the “South 40” residence halls (back in 1998) which have become a model for residential colleges. The buildings serve to enhance community, promote interaction and foster learning. Among the many housing projects (dorms) designed by Mackey Mitchell over the past two decades are  Brookings College, Small Group Housing, Village East Housing and the most recently completed LEED-Gold South 40 House.  According to a Washington University representative, “In a university environment where everyone has an opinion, you would be hard pressed to find anyone who would not give the University and the MMA team of Architects an A+ for creating a facility that will serve the University and its students for decades to come.”  We thank all those students who voted and ranked Washington University in St. Louis as having the “best college dorms.”
