Dining Transformation

The University of Wisconsin-Madison held the official grand opening in August for their new student housing and dining project which is phase one of the Lakeshore development project.  More than a residence hall, “Dejope,” (a term meaning “four lakes” in native Indian language) the housing project also features a new dining hall to meet the demands of today’s students. Four Lakes Market offers eight food venues with a variety of menu choices. The project also includes the “Flamingo Run” convenience store and the “Bean and Creamery” with baked goods, beverages, sandwiches and snacks. The building includes a number of environmentally features such as electronic display screens to replace paper flyers, green roofs, and efficient kitchen fans.Mackey Mitchell’s team included Dan Mitchell, Gwynn Zivic, Greg Frankenfeld, and Greg Keppel. Engberg Anderson was the Architect of Record.
