Raising the Bar for Student Dining

The new 17th Avenue Hall dining facility at the University of Minnesota was featured in Campus Dining Today (pages 16-18). The new six-story residence hall also features a 450-seating dining facility with a fresh-food concept and an open prep format. An entrance to the dining area, separate from the residence hall, invites customers from the community.  Currently,  the facility serves up to 750 customers at the peak lunch period. Operators of unnamed food service stations have maximum flexibility to change the menu when necessary to meet student preferences. Mackey Mitchell worked with Architect-of-Record TDKA on the $62.5 million project, along with Robert Rippe Associates Foodservice Consultants.
