Kansas State University
Manhattan, KS
- With its significant international student population, KSU's goal was to create a rich multicultural setting to provide the Jardine Apartment complex with a holistic living/learning environment where students learn and interact in a park-like environment. To achieve this goal, Kansas State University embarked on the complete redevelopment of the 55-acre Jardine Apartment complex. Built in 1957, their existing units no longer met students' needs. More than half of the buildings have been or will be demolished; the remainder will be renovated. Over 500,000sf will be constructed, providing 1,400 new beds in an apartment configuration.
