- Mackey Mitchell designed a fair-trade coffee bar and commons space in Goldfarb Hall at Washington University. The colorful and energetic space is a central hub for the Brown School community. Collaborating with students on the design, the space will showcase social work in action. the space uses furnishings and finishes made from recycled or sustainable materials such as high-density polyethylene, an environmentally friendly material derived from recycled milk jugs.
