The design complements the Collegiate Gothic architectural style of the campus.

• Residents have the opportunity to get involved in establishing new traditions by living in the on-campus apartments for upper-class students at Village East. The LEED silver certified, 4-story building accommodating 152 students consists mostly of four-person, single-room apartments which are fully-furnished with full kitchen amenities.
• Sustainable elements incorporated into the design include location near public transportation, bicycle storage, storm water design, water-efficient landscaping, light pollution reduction, use of regional materials, day lighting and views, and low VOC-emitting materials.
