"We just started design of a new music performance hall, and as I was developing a list of special considerations, it was clear in the first meeting with our music faculty that Mackey Mtichell had the experience and understanding of the project type to take us through feasibility studies without an additional consutant."

- This 500-seat music performance hall also has rehearsal spaces, typcial back-of-house amenities, and is connected to the Loretto-Hilton Performing Arts Center via a "tunnel" link at the rear of both buildings.
- The music school is designed specifically for musical events, especially performances by orchestras, small ensembles, and solo artists. The performance space, approximately 60 by 120 feet, offers a stage that can seat 80 performers..
- The interior design is expressed in the external building form with a graceful roof arc from stage to lobby. This form yields an interior ceiling that reflects sound down to patrons without the need for acoustic reflector clouds. Seating is arranged along each side wall to provide for a variety of viewing vantage points.
