Lifelong Learning Lecture

Gene Mackey has been invited to present a lecture to the Lifelong Learning Institute at Washington University in St. Louis which offers a wide variety of courses that emphasize peer learning and active class participation for seniors.  In Gene’s talk, “St. Louis Heroes and Their Architect,” guests will learn about the political lives and architectural influences of Henry Shaw, Robert Brookings, Ellis Wainwright, and David Francis.  The talk will take place on April 7th from 1 to 3 pm at the Lifelong Learning Institute at Washington University, located at 7425 Forsyth Boulevard (old Famous Barr building).(Photo detail, Wainwright Building in St. Louis, 1860).
