This stunning chandelier adds a dynamic dimension to the main entryway and corridor at Edison Theater, housed in the newly renovated Mallinckrodt Center at Washington University in St. Louis. Mackey Mitchell architect Gwynn Zivic and Seattle-based Light Art founding artist Ryan Smith collaborated on color and materials selection to produce the custom-designed chandelier, recently featured as a case study in 3form’s Light Art brochure. As part of the Mackey Mitchell’s renovation project, 3form products were used throughout the student union and performing arts center, adding color and life to the concrete structure. The chandelier, with its rich palette of deep reds, metallic golds, and rich burgundies  hangs in the large-scale entrance lobby.  From the street, this “fiery” jewel makes a bold statement, bringing a spash of drama to the pre-function space.
