Paul Gattis, reporter for the Alabama Media Group, toured the recently completed Charger Union at the University of Alabama and wrote, “UAH Shows Off Flashy New $25 Million Student LIfe Center.” Along with a photo gallery and an interactive spherical panorama, Gattis refers to the university’s branding program with its quotes from famous Americans, an LED map that represents UAH students across the globe, and the Charger Union’s mission statement prominently featured at the information desk. As the new campus hub, the new student center emphasizes spaces for interaction and collaboration.  Mackey Mitchell’s project team included Gwynn Zivic, John Burse, Merrilee Hertlein, Jim Konrad, and Stacey Wehe.
