TEEN ALLEY

The new teen center at the Oak Bend Branch of the St. Louis County Library recently opened with great reviews. The renovation of several branch libraries, including Oak Bend, was made possible by funding from the St. Louis County Library Foundation. Mackey Mitchell architects Jim Konrad and Rachel Raterman, with input from the branch manager and a Teen Advisory Group, selected colors, materials, furniture, and the layout for the mystery-themed space. This upgraded library branch provides a place for teens to gather, socialize with friends, and utilize library resources in a light-filled, comfortable space.
